Today, I’m attending the eComXpo, a virtual trade show.  This is my 5th time at the eComXpo and it always teaches me something new and introduces me to valuable future partners and customers.

That’s a good combination for a trade show that is free to attend, and is virtual!  So I can attend the show from the comfort of my home or office or even on the road at a Starbucks.  This time around, I’m attending mostly from my WiFi fishing Dock office, nothing better than attending a trade show without having to wear out your feet, voice or take the red eye!
Here’s some more information on the show

eComXpo Virtual Trade Show to be Produced by eTail

Partnership Created between Leading Event for Online Retailers with the Only Virtual Event for Affiliate, Search and Interactive Marketers
New York, NY –(April 24, 2008) – eComXpo, the virtual trade show and job fair for eCommerce marketers is being produced by eTail which will co-locate it’s first ever virtual version event with the next eComXpo, being held online July 9-10, 2008.
John Grosshandler, Founder and Event Director of eComXpo, outlined the additional value this will provide eComXpo’s loyal exhibitor and attendee base. “eTail’s tremendous reach and respect within the online retailing community, combined with their world class event producing capabilities, will further increase the quality of our educational programming while also helping to attract the highest value attendees that affiliates and vendors want to interact with”, says Grosshandler. “eComXpo will remain focused on affiliate and search marketing while the co-located eTail virtual event will focus on issues specific to the online retailing marketplace, including multi-channel integration, web analytics, email marketing, personalization and segmentation.”
eComXpo’s last event, held in October, 2007, had over 150 exhibitors, 8,000+ attendees and 30 presentations making it the largest virtual event ever held. The event remains 100% online, virtual and free for attendees. Top sponsors have included LinkShare, DoubleClick, Google, Digital River, Microsoft and Yahoo!.
eTail, celebrating its 10 year anniversary as the industry’s leading event for online retailers, had over 1,200 attendees at their most recent event held Feb 11-14th, in Palm Desert, California.
Amit Das, Managing Director for eTail’s parent company, Worldwide Business Research, sees the production of eComXpo and the co-location of eTail’s virtual event as a great first step in a broader strategy around virtual event extensions to their physical event portfolio. “We see virtual events as a powerful new way to connect our attendees with targeted educational content, solution providers and other attendees with similar interests. Producing eComXpo and co-locating eTail’s virtual event with it provides an ideal way to achieve our tactical and strategic goals in this emerging space.”
The next eComXpo and eTail virtual events will be held July 9-10, 2008. For information on registering, exhibiting or sponsoring at eComXpo, please visit www.etailxpo.com
